100 JAPANESE ONE-POINTS
IN 100 DAYS
Starting solely as a painting project from the end of 2017 into 2018, Chris set out to produce 100 Japanese one-point tattoo designs. These were a means of exploring the world of Japanese tattoo imagery, as well as putting names to the subjects often seen but proving hard to research. The paintings were produced on 4x5'“ cold press watercolor paper. Upon completion of the project Chris was encouraged by colleagues and mentors to publish the series, thus launching his first book project, 100 JAPANESE ONE-POINTS.
